This site incorporates custom graphic design with a custom back-end admin platform that manages all site activity. The site was designed as a scalable social networking platform, acting as a news source that relays on editorial content as well as visitor submitted articles. Readers can comment on the articles, create their own blog, cast their vote in the site polls and become a voice by joining the editorial staff. Future upgrades will include user interaction, instant messaging, image and video uploads as well as writing contests.
The back-end management system is one of a kind and is used to manage all the site’s activities. Site administrators receive notifications for submitted content and can approve, disapprove modify and add polls before its displayed on the website. The back-end also includes a poll module, so site administrators can create polls and place them in a designated article or page. A newsletter system is incorporated in to the back-end so site admins can stay in touch with newsletter subscribers.
Other management features include security, search engine optimization, admin and backup modules. The content management module allows the site admin to modify/add content using an integrated CMS with an online rich text editor.
